Hydrophore units

VOS | Evatec offers two types of hydrophore units.

VOS | Evatec EWater

EWater are our “standard” hydrophore units. Built on a heavy duty frame, the EWater unit accomodates built-on pressure vessels, hydrophore pumps, piping, safety device and an electric control panel to allow for fully automatic operation.

It is possible to include hotwater calorifiers in all capacities in the EWater skid, for safe hot water supply with electrical and/or steam heating elements.

EWater systems are complete water treatment skids, with cold and hot water treatment all built on one skid, to comply with the latest rules for safe and bacteria free water supply. EWater units come supplied with all major classification certificates.

VOS | Evatec ANVI Drinking Water Pressure System

VOS | Evatec ANVI drinking water pressure systems have been designed for use on board of seagoing vessels, offshore platforms and large onshore installations such as hospitals, without the use of large pressure vessels.

This system has been developed to protect the water against the growth of bacteria en viruses, which can be harmful for the health of users of the drinking water. Standard hydrophore systems are based on a pressurized vessel which contains water and an air pocket which pressurizes the drinking water for transportation to the tap. While the water resides in the pressure vessel, bacteria growing in the vessel (caused by temperature fluctuations or the standstill period of the water) may contaminate it. Dead ends in the piping system are excellent places for bacteria to grow and for viruses to hide from cleaning chemicals and electronic detection equipment.

VOS | Evatec ANVI drinking water systems eliminate this problem because they are based on continuously circulating drinking water systems. This can be seen as one disinfection system, and one user circulating system; this user system, which is connected to the disinfection system, may also exist of multiple systems: for example, every deck on a ship could have its own system. This drinking water system does not contain any pressure vessels or other distribution vessels.
